Howler
A macOS AI tool where you write a question on stationery, receive an answer, and close it as though burning a letter.
What does it do?
Press ⌥H anywhere to bring up stationery over the screen. When you write a question, the answer appears as if written by a quill, and follow-up questions accumulate in separate sections on the same stationery. Stopping an answer keeps the text already written, while attachments are sent only with the next question. You can configure the model service and API key, and requests go directly to the configured service.
Key features
- Open a question window over the screen with the ⌥H shortcut
- Continue asking follow-up questions on the same stationery
- Stop an answer while keeping the portion already written
- Send requests directly to the configured model service
- Turn off appearance, ink, and flame effects with the reduced motion setting
