Steno
A Mac app for quickly opening Markdown notes and code files and editing with AI.
What does it do?
Open a note to edit the Markdown file visually; it saves 0.8 seconds after you stop typing. Find and open files by name or content, and move between the list and editor with keyboard commands. You can revise selected text in an AI pane and accept the result. Notes written by Claude or Codex through Steno MCP appear in received files. Notes are saved as regular files in the Steno folder in iCloud Drive when it is enabled, or in Documents/Steno when it is disabled.
