keyward
A terminal tool for managing SSH keys and configuration files in one view and checking their security.
What does it do?
On first launch, you set a master password to create an encrypted vault, then use the password to unlock it. On screen actions let you generate or rotate keys, copy public keys, and edit SSH settings. Backup and restore are also available, and a command line subcommand lets you add audits to CI or scheduled jobs. It runs as a single static binary and requires no network calls or daemon.
Key features
- Generate, rotate, and delete SSH keys, and copy public keys.
- Edit ~/.ssh/config and audit SSH security, displaying an A~F grade.
- Encrypt metadata and backups with a master password.
- Run command line audits in CI and exit with a failure status based on the severity of findings.
- Run offline as a single static binary without a daemon.
