WHAT IT DOES
What does it do?
Headwire supports NAT traversal through DERP relays and configures WireGuard peers statically. Initial connections go through DERP and upgrade to a direct path when one is found. Users can run their own DERP server, but the project is described as experimental.
KEY FEATURES
Key features
- Static mesh configuration of WireGuard peers
- NAT traversal using DERP relays
- Automatic switch from a DERP connection to a direct path
- Support for using your own DERP server
- Inbound allow rules based on protocol, port, IP and CIDR
