WHAT IT DOES
What does it do?
A bundled Whisper model recognizes English speech entirely on the Mac, while audio and transcripts are kept only in memory. It runs from the menu bar and supports microphone selection, launch at login, a personal dictionary, and voice-based formatting cleanup. It requires macOS 13 Ventura or later on an Apple Silicon or 64-bit Intel Mac.

EDITOR'S NOTE
Why did it stand out?
It focuses on inserting speech directly into the current app, with push-to-talk and hands-free modes in the same workflow. Keeping recordings and transcripts only in memory and clearing them on exit also reduces the burden of storing dictation data.
