WHAT IT DOES

What does it do?

Astera is a desktop app designed to keep Claude Code and Codex sessions running while the user is away. In Jobs, users can see dependency graphs, active workers, questions, and timelines, and isolate parallel tasks in separate Git worktrees. Its orchestration skill handles assignment, completion tracking, and question routing for multistep tasks.

VERSION 2September 2026
Added an experimental Agent browser and session startup steps
An experimental Agent browser was added to the feature list. The guidance now explains that orchestration skills load at session startup, so the setting must be enabled before opening a new coordinator session. It also says that simple one-off handoffs do not require an orchestration run.
